Delta Airlines is known for having an extensive Sky Club network in the United States, even at airports that aren’t Delta hubs. A perfect example of a Sky Club at a non-Delta hub is their location in Newark Liberty International Airport. The Delta Sky Club in Newark is gorgeous, however, it’s not as large as many of the airline’s other clubs. 

At 16 hours and 15 minutes, the route from Johannesburg, South Africa, to Newark, New Jersey, is United’s second longest flight. This flight sees the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which features Polaris Business Class, Premium Plus, and Economy. Polaris is United’s luxurious flagship Business Class product that offers its passengers a relaxing, premium experience. After 10 wonderful nights in South Africa, I headed back to the states from JNB, which was my most convenient flight option. 

Chicago O’Hare Airport is a significant hub for two of the largest airlines in the U.S., those being United Airlines and American Airlines. The two both want to attract as many passengers from ORD as possible and continuously fight for supremacy in Chicago.

Chicago-based United Airlines is finally introducing a new next-generation Polaris Business Class product. The elevated interiors will be found on their upcoming Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which are expected to join the United widebody fleet later this year. 

For a few years now, American has had plans to introduce the Flagship Suites as its new Business Class product. Recently, the airline has taken delivery of its two newest Boeing 787-9s that feature the suites and the flights operated by these jets are now on sale. 

When you think of two of the most premium airlines in the industry, British Airways and American are probably not the first two that come to mind. However, that doesn’t stop them from having one of the nicest Business Class lounges in the country. At New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 8, BA and AA run the Greenwich Business Class Lounge. With plenty of comfortable seating, inspiring dishes, and a stunning ambiance, this feels like a space in which you’d truly want to spend a lot of time in.

There’s some really interesting news involving the Etihad Airways Airbus A380 superjumbo. Etihad will begin flying the A380 from Abu Dhabi to Toronto in June of this year. However, the Emirati flag carrier will pull the aircraft type from one of its major routes. 

Flying Business Class can be a fun experience in various ways, depending on the airline. Some offer private, enclosed suites with doors. Others may hype up the soft product and offer restaurant-quality fine dining and amenities such as pajamas. Virgin Atlantic is considered to be a fun airline when it comes to traveling in Business Class, and I had the opportunity to see for myself aboard the A350-1000. Virgin Atlantic is one of Delta’s core partners, however, its Flying Club program isn’t as well known as other SkyTeam loyalty programs. While it may not be very well-known compared to Delta SkyMiles, Virgin Flying Club offers several great partner redemptions that are much more affordable than what their partners charge for the same flight. If you’re looking to save your Delta SkyMiles and fly domestically or internationally with the airline, then using Flying Club points to book is the way to go.

The Chicago-based carrier will be bringing back its signature inflight snack, the stroopwafel. It will be making its way into the Economy Class cabin on domestic United flights over 300 miles long. This iconic Dutch snack consists of two waffle cookies, pressed between which is a layer of sweet caramel. 

First launched in 2022, the Delta Air Lines A321NEO is aimed to become the backbone of Delta’s short and medium haul domestic flights. It offers a new, fresh, and breathable First Class cabin that resembles Delta’s latest domestic offering. With a stunning signature interior, Delta’s A321NEO has become one of my favorite U.S. domestic aircraft. 

First unveiled in 2016, Delta Airlines made plans to launch Delta One Suites with sliding doors. In the following year, Delta One Suites were launched on the Airbus A350. However, the airline took its great Business Class product and made it better on the A330neo in 2019, featuring wider seats and higher seat walls. On a recent transatlantic flight in Delta One at the end of 2024, I’ve come to the conclusion that this product is America’s best Business Class.

Travel is something that allows us to experience new destinations and gives us the chance to find our new favorite place. In 2024, we’ve had the chance to explore several new locations and enjoy what they have to offer. Here are some of our favorite destinations we’ve visited this year. 

London’s Heathrow Terminal 5 serves as the home of British Airways, with four BA departures lounges. However, one of the four lounges is a less-known tranquil space not found in the main T5 building. British Airways operates a Galleries Club Lounge in the B Gates, where passenger commotion is less busy. If you’re flying in British Airways Club World from LHR’s T5B or T5C, then this is the place to go before your flight.

With plenty of travel perks and great earning rates, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is considered to be one of the best luxury travel cards on the market. Alongside cards such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Platinum Card from American Express, this card offers some great travel perks and statement credits. All of this comes at a reasonable $395 annual fee.

Within the heart of London, England, is a luxurious and sustainable five star hotel you won’t want to miss out on. Of course, I’m talking about the 1 Hotel Mayfair. With comfortable rooms, great amenities, and impressive dining options, this extravagant hotel is one that makes for a perfect stay in the English capital. Plus, the hotel has less of an environmental impact on the community compared to some of London’s other luxurious hotels.

On a recent trip to London, I had the chance to fly round-trip with British Airways in their Club Suites Business Class. When flying back home from LHR, I was able to fly from Terminal 5 and pass through the Galleries Club Lounge South before my flight. To make the most of my visit to this old yet cozy space, I arrived at the airport early.

An airline that was once a pioneer of Business Class seats is now a carrier that offers one of the industry’s sleekest premium cabins. British Airways made the turn in 2019 when it introduced Club Suites on its A350-1000 aircraft, featuring more storage and privacy than the outdated Club World model. Ever since then, the airline has been installing these gorgeous beauties on more widebodies, including an increasing number of Boeing 777s. On a recent flight from London to New York (Newark EWR), I had the chance to put the Club Suite to the test, and it’s a Business Class product I would be thrilled to fly again.

Airport lounges can make for a great place to relax before a long flight. However, lounges within airport terminals aren’t always enjoyed just before departure. In fact, using a lounge upon arrival can be a nice way to refresh before heading into town. One of the most relaxing arrivals lounges is the BA Galleries Arrivals Lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport. On a recent transatlantic flight from JFK to LHR, I visited the arrivals lounge in London and was very pleased.
