Points that Can be Used Towards Travel: The Capital One Venture Card's Limited-Time Offer

One of Capital One’s most popular travel credit cards is offering a really high sign-up bonus that can be worth a lot towards air travel and hotel stays. The issuer has several transfer partners to choose from when it comes down to booking flights and hotels. Best of all, this credit card has a simple $95 annual fee and earns 2 miles per dollar on all purchases.

The sign-up bonus for the Capital One Venture Card currently stands at 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months. Additionally, the welcome offer also comes with a $250 travel credit that can be used within the Capital One Travel Portal. 

Once you’ve earned the 75,000 bonus miles, they can be used to redeem travel via the portal. However, a better option to maximize your points is to transfer them out to one of Capital One’s partners. The list of these airline partners includes Air Canada, British Airways, Etihad, and Qatar, only to name a few. 

Note that if you’ve earned a bonus on the Capital One Venture or Venture X credit card in the past four years, you will not be eligible for this bonus. 

Capital One has introduced one of its highest welcome offers on the Venture Rewards credit card in years. If you’re looking for a travel credit card that earns miles on all purchases without having to pay a steep annual fee, then it's a great option. However, if you prefer having lounge access and want more benefits, then the Capital One Venture X ($395 annual fee) might be a better alternative. At the end of the day, it’s a matter of personal preference, though either card is solid for accumulating points.
